Tennessee is home to 8 of the 321 local unions across the North American continent, and the UA-TN provides highly-skilled workers for industry in the south, as well as the rest of the country. Training is the key to the success of the United Association, and each Tennessee local is fully devoted to this ideal.
The UA-TN provides a five-year apprentice course, as well as extensive and rigorous continuing education for its journeymen. Through organized and dedicated training programs, each individual local offers numerous certifications, including: welding, med gas, pipefitting, CFC, plumbing, OSHA, HVAC, refrigeration, valve repair, and back-flow prevention.
