The IPIA works to promote cooperation between Illinois municipalities for the exchange of ideas, gather, receive, and disseminate information for the advancement of plumbing and public health, and to foster, promote, and encourage the improvement of plumbing material and work. The organization seeks to encourage the enactment and enforcement of plumbing legislation and a more unified plumbing code in Illinois.
