Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 136 of the United Association is located in Evansville, which rests quietly on the Ohio River in southern Indiana. Its diversified economy thrives with manufacturing facilities such as Sabic Innovative Plastics, Bristol Myers, AK Steel, Toyota, Alcoa, plus many more. It also has one of the largest concentrations of coal-fired electric generating plants in the United States.
UA Local 136 has state-of-the-art journeyman and apprentice training centers in Evansville and Bloomington, Indiana. We are approximately 1,250 members strong and continue our commitment to organizing the unorganized.
